Research on LearningResearch shows that if people were exposed to an idea one time, they retained less than 10 percent at the end of 30 days. But if they were exposed to an idea six times, with interval reinforcement, they retained more than 90 percent at the end of 30 days. Although having the Safe Lifting and Manual Handling program will educate participants, without reinforcement, knowledge is not retained. This means that to maximize learning from the Safe Lifting and Manual Handling seminar, continued exposure to what has been taught after the program will ensure that safe lifting and manual handling knowledge is retained. Safe Manual Handling PostersThese brightly coloured posters cross all language barriers in a multicultural work environment with strong visual displays of correct and incorrect lifting and manual handling techniques. Repetition is important for successful learning, so with repeated exposure to safe manual handling messages, safer work habits develop. Safe Manual Handling StickersThese brightly coloured stickers also cross all language barriers in a multicultural work environment with strong visual displays of correct and incorrect lifting and manual handling techniques. As with the posters, repeated exposure to safe manual handling messages, safer work habits develop. |
