A Demand

A common frustration that new clients would consistently complain of is a lack of understanding about their condition and receiving inconsistent messages from various health care practitioners, family and friends.

The Australian Spine Institute was formed as a response to a demand for accurate information about spinal disorders.

The Spine Institute uses international research findings to provide accurate education, diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders.

International Training

The Spine Institute directors are qualified physiotherapists and have practiced in Australia and overseas. They have travelled Internationally to gain experience and knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders.

The Spine Institute directors have completed Australian & International post-graduate training including post graduate diplomas in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine from the McKenzie Institute International. This post graduate training was completed in the United States.

Currently, there are only 18 health care practitioners in Australia and about 250 worldwide who have attained this level of education. Health care practitioners eligible to complete this level of training include doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists, and chiropractors.

Your Benefit

With the Australian Spine Institute's dedication and commitment to providing researched answers to pain of spinal origin, you can be assured that you will receive consistent and accurate information regarding your spine.

With the public's need for accurate information, a series of booklets was produced for you to benefit from internationally recognised research.

Research shows that educational booklets can be as effective as visiting a health professional for the treatment of low back pain.
